AFBC Kids Ministry

At Albany First Baptist Church, we believe that children are a gift from God and an important part of our church family. Our Kids Ministry is a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can grow in their faith, build friendships, and learn about Jesus in a way they can understand.

Our Kids Ministry is open to children from infants through 5th grade. We have age-specific classes designed to meet your child’s developmental and spiritual needs.

  • AFBC provides a warm and nurturing Nursery for babies on Sundays during Sunday school (9 am) & worship service (10 am). Our dedicated paid staff member, along with caring volunteers, ensures a safe, clean, and loving environment where your little one will be well cared for while you attend the service.

  • Toddler Church at AFBC is designed especially for children ages 2-3 years, providing a loving and engaging environment where they can begin learning about God in a way that makes sense to them.

    When & Where?

    Sunday School (9 am)

    • A time of interactive learning through Bible stories, songs, and hands-on activities.

    During Worship Service (10 am)

    • Toddlers will worship with their parents then be dismissed to their classroom to enjoy a structured class with:

      • Bible Lessons – Simple, engaging stories that introduce key biblical truths.

      • Crafts – Fun, hands-on activities that reinforce the lesson.

      • Interactive Play & Activities – Songs, games, and movement to help little ones connect with God's love.

    Our caring team of trained volunteers provides a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where toddlers can grow in their faith while parents attend Sunday School and worship.

  • At AFBC, we are passionate about teaching our Pre-K through 2nd graders about God’s love in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way. Through interactive lessons, activities, and fellowship, we help children build a strong foundation of faith.

    When & Where?

    Sunday School (9 am)

    • Sunday School is a wonderful opportunity for children to develop a love for Jesus, build friendships, and grow in their understanding of God’s Word.

    During Worship Service (10 am)

    • Kids will begin worship with their families and then be dismissed to their classrooms for an exciting Bible lesson, fun activities, and hands-on learning about Jesus.

    Wednesday Nights – Team Kids (6:30 pm)

    • A midweek program filled with Bible stories, games, music, and interactive lessons to help kids grow in their faith while having a blast!

    Our dedicated team of volunteers provides a safe and loving environment where kids can learn, ask questions, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

  • Our 3rd through 5th graders are invited to dive deeper into their faith through engaging Bible lessons, hands-on activities, and meaningful relationships with their peers and leaders. We provide a welcoming and exciting environment where kids can learn about God, ask questions, and grow spiritually.

    Sunday School (9 am)

    • In-depth Bible study designed to help kids apply God’s Word to their lives.

    • Fun discussions, interactive learning, and relationship-building.

    Wednesday Nights – Team Kids (6:30 pm)

    • Midweek fun with Bible-centered games, music, and interactive lessons to help kids grow in their faith.
